Superior Safety and FunctionalityThis fume hood is engineered with a suite of essential safety features, including an airflow alarm and emergency cut-off switch, ensuring laboratory personnel are alerted to unsafe conditions instantly. The vertical sliding sash made of toughened glass serves as a durable protective barrier while allowing precise airflow control, optimizing both safety and operational efficiency.
Built for Laboratory PerformanceManufactured using corrosion and chemical-resistant materials such as mild steel with epoxy powder coating, PP/FRP lining, and robust granite or ceramic worktops, this hood ensures longevity even in demanding laboratory environments. Ready-to-install, floor-mounted construction provides easy implementation and seamless integration into new or existing lab spaces.
Versatility and CustomizationAvailable in customizable white and blue finishes and multiple working lengths, the FH-LB Series accommodates various laboratory setups. It features user-centric provisions like analog/digital airflow monitoring, energy-saving LED illumination, and socket outlets, supporting a broad range of instruments and procedures.
FAQs of Fume Hood:
Q: How does the airflow control and safety system work on this fume hood?
A: The fume hood is equipped with an analog or digital airflow monitor that precisely measures air velocity (0.30.5 m/s) with an accuracy of 5%. An integrated airflow alarm and emergency cut-off switch ensure immediate response if unsafe conditions arise, keeping users protected at all times.
Q: What materials make up the construction of the fume hood for chemical resistance?
A: Key components are crafted from mild steel powder coated for corrosion resistance, PP/FRP lining, and a choice of granite or ceramic for the worktop. The window is made of clear toughened glass, ensuring safe, durable operation even with aggressive chemicals.
Q: When should the fume hood be used in laboratory procedures?
A: The fume hood is designed for use whenever potentially hazardous or volatile chemicals are handled, especially during procedures in chemical laboratories, analytical labs, or university laboratory settings requiring regulated ventilation and user safety.
Q: Where can this fume hood be installed and how is it set up?
A: It is intended for floor-mounted installation in laboratories. The unit arrives ready to install and integrates with existing PVC/PP exhaust ducting. Its standard size is 1200 x 900 x 2400 mm, fitting most laboratory layouts.
Q: What is the process for operating and maintaining the fume hood?
A: To operate, simply slide the vertical sash to the desired height, activate the electrical panel, and ensure the airflow monitor displays safe levels. Regularly check the airflow alarm and perform routine cleaning of the worktop and sash with appropriate cleaners to maintain safety and efficiency.
Q: How does the fume hood benefit laboratory users?
A: Users benefit from enhanced protection against chemical exposure, reduced laboratory contamination risk, and a safe ventilation environment. Features like low noise (<65 dB), LED lighting, and electrical socket provisioning further improve the working experience.
