Components of a Monocular Microscope:

1.    Eyepiece (Ocular): The eyepiece, or ocular lens, is the part of the microscope where the viewer looks through to observe the specimen. It typically provides a standard magnification of 10x, although variations exist.

2.    Objective Lens: The objective lens is located just below the specimen and further magnifies the image. Monocular microscopes usually have multiple objective lenses with varying magnification powers, such as 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x.

3.    Nosepiece: The nosepiece holds and rotates the objective lenses, allowing the viewer to switch between different magnifications quickly.

4.    Stage: The stage is a flat platform where the specimen is placed for observation. It often includes mechanical controls for precise movement of the specimen in both X and Y directions.
